1968 the dead body of Robert F. Kennedy was transferred by train from New York City to Washington for his burial. Hundred thousands of Americans, standing along the rail tracks, were mourning his death and mourning the end of a hope.
Paul Fusco took about 2000 images during this eight-hour ride. He was working for the Look magazine. His photographs disappeared in the archives of the magazine and it took 20years for them to be rediscovered.
