Although he is looking straight into the camera lens, he couldn’t protect his inner-self more against the curious glances of a contemplator. Completely open and still secretive, a face upside down is no more legible for us: a hint pointing to the mechanisms of non-verbal communication.
Obwohl der junge Mann sein Gesicht offen dem Betrachter zuwendet, könnte er sich nicht besser vor ihren neugierigen Blicken schützen. Völlig offen und doch verschlossen, ein Gesicht, auf den Kopf gestellt, nicht mehr lesbar für uns: ein Hinweis auf die Mechanismen der nonverbalen Kommunikation.
