Razglednica 2 / Postcard 2

Houses are burning;
sitting on the field’s edges some scared and speechless

Here a little shepherdess, stepping onto the lake,
ruffles the water;
the ruffled sheep flock at the water drinks from
clouds, bending over.

The company stands in wild knots, stinking.
Death blows overhead, revolting.
